Join us this month for an extra special show as we celebrate the publication of Mortified Alumni, Melissa Dahl’s new book ‘Cringeworthy’!
In her new book, Cringeworthy: A Theory of Awkwardness (Portfolio/Penguin Random House; on-sale: 2/13/18), Dahl sets out in pursuit of the truth about awkwardness, talking to psychologists, researchers and friends alike. What she discovers, however, reminds us of our own humanity and vulnerability. Awkwardness doesn’t have to make us feel alone. Instead, the things that make us cringe can remind us of how connected we all truly are.
Melissa Dahl is a senior editor covering health and psychology for New York’s The Cut. In 2014, she cofounded New York’s popular social sciencesite Science of Us. Her work has appeared in Elle, Parents, andTODAY.com. Cringeworthy is her first book. You can find her on Twitter @MelissaDahl.
